Before you come
Do I need to book for Sunday roast?
Yes, if you can. We often sell out by Friday lunchtime. Form above is fastest, or ring the bar on 01233 456 789.
Are children welcome?
Yes. High chairs, smaller portions, colouring pencils. Children welcome until 9pm. After that, bar only.
Can you cook for allergies?
We cook vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free every day. Tell us when you book and again when you sit down. We take it seriously.
Can I bring the dog?
Dogs welcome in the bar and garden, on leads. Not in the dining room. Water bowls and biscuits by the bar.
Is there wheelchair access?
Step-free through the side door on Church Passage — left side of building, ramped. Accessible loo on ground floor. Come find us and we will meet you.
Is there parking?
No car park of our own — we are on the High Street. Elwick Road multi-storey is two minutes' walk, Park Mall is three. Some High Street bays are free after 6pm. Bikes lock to the railings by the front door.
Do you do gluten-free?
Yes. GF plates are marked on the menu and can be cooked gluten-free — fish and chips included, in a separate fryer. Tell us when you book and again when you sit down.
Can we book for 20?
Yes. The Snug takes 15 to 25, the whole Main Bar 50 to 80, and the Garden up to 100 in summer. Tell us numbers when you ask and we will write a menu for the night.
